# The new children’s playground at “Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL” Hospital is open

On 27 June 2018 the new children’s playground at UMHAT “Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL”, Sofia, was officially blessed and opened. The worn-out and unsafe play equipment was replaced with new equipment that meets current safety requirements.

The association’s team warmly thanks Martin Stratiev for his dedication and round-the-clock work to make this playground a reality, Elena Karaboycheva, Ani Vilfan, all the donors who managed to raise the necessary sum, the Morsko Konche party centre and Konstantina Naumova, whose finesse and delicacy make every one of our celebrations magical and full of love!

After the blessing, the children who are in treatment or already cured ceremonially cut the ribbon. The Ronald McDonald Children’s Charity Foundation Bulgaria sent its world-famous clown to entertain the children. McDonald’s delighted all the young patients of the Paediatric Oncohaematology Clinic and the children at the Golden Ribbon Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration with a meal with a toy each. On that day even nature was on our side and waited for the little children’s party to end before it started to rain.

Many donors joined our joint initiative with Martin Stratiev. We thank all of them — in less than 4 months they raised BGN 16,000, the sum needed to build the following equipment:

- Renovation of 10 benches and installation of litter bins;
- A play structure with two big slides for children aged 4 to 12;
- A play structure with a slide, a swing, a rope swing and a basketball hoop for children aged 1 to 4;
- A double swing for children aged 1 to 4;
- A double swing for children aged 4 to 12;
- A seesaw for children aged 4 to 12;
- A DUCATI motorbike spring rider for children up to 7;
- A car spring rider for children up to 7;
- A children’s table with benches;
- A hopscotch game.

For us, this dream come true is a celebration of kindness!
