Bioderma Women’s Run

On 22 June 2019 Sofia will host the first women’s run in Bulgaria — the BIODERMA Women’s Run, in support of the Association “Children with Oncohaematological Diseases”. The event is organised by the “Begach” sports club, which is embarking on this venture together with BIODERMA; together they will put Sofia on the world map of capitals that support the women’s running initiative. 20% of the entry fees for the BIODERMA Women’s Run will be donated to the Association “Children with Oncohaematological Diseases” and its cause — “School without borders” („Училище без граници“), which will give children with cancer the chance to continue their schooling during treatment and will help them master the course material and successfully pass their end-of-year exams. The project will reach more than 100 school-age children being treated in the paediatric oncohaematology clinics.

For the second year in a row BIODERMA is supporting the “School without borders” initiative: for the 2018/2019 school year the company donated BGN 10,000. The funds made it possible for children being treated for cancer to continue their education in the hospital setting. Our ambition is to continue this good practice and to show that private business has a responsibility to society and can act in a socially responsible way on important public problems.

The main distance is 3 km, but there are other great categories too, such as “Mum and me” — a separate ranking for mothers with children — and the “Kids’ run” — an athletics training session for children — as well as lots of games and fun for the whole family. The grand prize in the first women-only run in Bulgaria is 2 tickets to Paris, provided by Air France, plus gifts from BIODERMA.
