After the story of the illness, the story of victories begins.
Since 2019 we have organised sports games for children who have beaten cancer, and since 2025 the Balkan Sports Games in Panagyurishte. In 2026, more than 70 children from five countries competed in them.

Winners who had won before the games even began
In September 2025 Panagyurishte hosted the first Balkan Sports Games for children and young people who have overcome an oncohaematological disease — more than 60 children from Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey. In 2026 the games brought together more than 70 children, now from five countries.
The games open in the “Arena Asarel” hall and are held under the patronage of the Mayor of Panagyurishte Municipality, Zhelyazko Gagov, with the support of “Asarel-Medet” AD. In 2025 the opening featured a motorcycle parade and a concert, and the children went home with medals and with friendships that last beyond the games.
The aim of these Balkan games is to bring the children together, to let them feel full of life and to help them make lots of new friends.Plamen Belchev, Association “Children with Oncohaematological Diseases”
Among the volunteers there are now girls who once took part in the games as competitors — the best proof that this story goes on.

The International Winners’ Games, 2013–2019
From 2013 the association’s team accompanied children to the International Winners’ Games, organised by the “Gift of Life” charity foundation („Подари жизнь“) in Moscow — more than 500 children from 17 countries. Our participants were children aged 9 to 16, treated at the three clinics in Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna; they travelled with the team and a doctor, and competed in running, table tennis, shooting, swimming, football and chess.
Parents told us more than once that their child came back completely changed — with more self-confidence and with faith in new victories. The trips were made possible by the “Bulgarian Sport” Foundation and the national carrier.
