Summer camps

Here, children are just children.

Every summer since 2015 we have brought together children and young people with oncohaematological diseases from all over Bulgaria — those in treatment, those who have beaten the illness, and their brothers and sisters.

The camps run in two age groups — one for the little ones and one for teenagers. There is plenty of laughter and play, and alongside it, individual and group psychological therapy and creative workshops.

This is how the children and young people build a community of their own and, together, gather the strength to keep going. Their brothers and sisters are there with them — because they, too, live through their sibling’s illness in their own way and need support as well.

The camps are made possible by the Social Protection Fund, the International Women’s Club, Grand Hotel Bansko and many donors.
