The “Childhood Is Ours” project has ended

The “Childhood Is Ours” project („Детството е наше“) of Oborishte district, carried out in partnership with the Association “Children with Oncohaematological Diseases”, has ended. It was funded by Sofia Municipality under the Programme for the Development of Physical Education and Sport, in support of Sofia Municipality’s Education Strategy 2016–2023.

As a result of the project, the participants developed their creativity and gained new knowledge and skills through games. “Childhood Is Ours” brought out countless children’s smiles, combining a carefree childhood with learning skills in coordination, concentration, fine motor skills and logical thinking.

The activities of the “Childhood Is Ours” project were carried out between 28 September and 16 October 2020, in line with the measures to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Given that the participants belong to an extremely high-risk group, the project achieved its goals through individual sessions with the participants who attend the centre of the Association “Children with Oncohaematological Diseases” and with children from the same target group admitted for treatment to the ward at ISUL.
