September — an international month of support

In Bulgaria, three children fall ill with CANCER every week. For them, that day marks the beginning of a hard battle, accompanied by physical pain and social isolation. Cancer is a thief. It steals their carefree childhood, their friends, their appearance. It takes away everything they love doing. That is replaced by endless days of pain and despair. The whole family is affected by the illness, and life will never be the same for them.

GOLD is the colour of strength, courage and endurance! The symbol of our children!

Every year in September, the whole community of children who have beaten this insidious disease, of like-minded people and of supporters of the cause around the world encourages lighting up iconic buildings, historic landmarks, monuments, bridges and more in gold, or placing huge gold ribbons on them.

Dear friends, during the month of September we encourage you to THINK GOLD! We encourage everyone who stands with the children fighting oncohaematological diseases to wear a GOLD RIBBON during September and to make the gold ribbon their profile picture on social media!
